Beautiful Rosemary was rescued from a battery egg farm in Victoria in November, 2015.
We chose Rosemary as we walked through that cage egg farm because she had pushed her body as far as she could through the bars to look at us. She was desperate to come with us, and so she did.
She was emaciated and her comb was so enlarged. She had never seen the sky before or felt dirt and when she did she was overjoyed.
My friend named her Rosemary because she kept sitting in the Rosemary pot plant.
Rosemary loves people. She jumps in your lap and talks to you constantly. She an absolutely joyful and trusting hen, which is so amazing considering what humans have done to her.
